There are certain things that are often referred to as the "credit card" features - such as online ordering or check identity are considered. But if there really is a rent emergency "credit" (such as ensuring a hotel room or a car), then the ATM card will not work. So, if E-Bay transaction involves the sale immediately (if) you have enough money in the account, it should work ATM card. But for most businesses in the bay, they want a card "real" credit.
